Privacy notice

CitedFor (citedfor.com), 605 W 9th Street, Unit #4127, Austin, TX 78701. We provide marketing agencies with white-label reports and work on how their clients are named by AI assistants (ChatGPT search, Gemini and Perplexity, through their public APIs). This notice says what we collect and what we do with it. Questions: hello@citedfor.com.

What we collect

• Business contact details from public sources: business names, websites, cities and work email addresses from public business listings and websites, and the answers AI engines give to questions about your market. We use these to prepare a free sample for you and to email you about it.
• What you give us when you sign up or write to us: your name, email, phone number, business or podcast name, website, city, and anything you put in your emails.
• Payments are handled by Razorpay. We receive the payment status and a payment reference; we never see or store your full card number.
• Site usage: pages viewed, time on page, scroll depth and button clicks, sent to our own server. We store a random ID in your browser's local storage to group one visit's events, a one-way hash of your IP address, and your browser's user-agent string. We use no advertising pixels or third-party trackers on this site.

How we use it

• To make your free sample and the service you pay for.
• To email you about the sample or your account. Our emails are business-to-business; reply "no" or "unsubscribe" and we stop.
• To take payment and keep the records the law requires.
• To see which pages work, in aggregate.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Who else handles it

Only the services we need to run this: our hosting provider; Razorpay (payments); our email providers; OpenAI, Google, and OpenRouter (which relays our questions to Perplexity): we send them search questions about a city, not your personal data; Anthropic (to read and summarise the answers). Each receives only what its job needs.

How long we keep it

Sample pages and prospect details: up to 12 months unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Customer and payment records: as long as the law requires (typically several years for tax records).

Your choices

Email hello@citedfor.com to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, or to stop all email. We reply within 30 days. Sample pages are private links (not listed in search engines); ask and we will take yours down.

If we change this notice we will update the date above.
